Quotation & RFQ FAQ ID: #133
Q:

If a manufacturer has announced a supply suspension (discontinuation), will I still receive a response if I request a quote?

A:

Yes. Even if the manufacturer has suspended supply, we can still provide quotations and facilitate procurement as long as there is remaining 'Market Stock' circulating within the wholesale and distributor networks.

Risks and Sourcing Routes for Discontinued Products

  • Procurement Potential

Even when new shipments from the manufacturer have ceased, we leverage our global supplier network to search for surplus inventory held by authorized wholesalers in various countries.

  • Important Considerations for Suspended Items:

Price Volatility: Due to the rarity and the balance of market supply and demand, the price may be set higher than the original list price (Premium Pricing).

Expiry Dates (EXP): Since production has stopped, the available products may have relatively shorter shelf lives. Please carefully check the expiry information provided in your quotation.

Inventory Fluidity: Market stock is extremely fluid. If payment is not finalized immediately after receiving a quote, there is a high risk that the stock will be purchased by another customer and become unavailable.

Advice for Our Users

  • Consider Alternatives: If market stock is completely exhausted, we may be able to suggest generic versions with the same active ingredient or Therapeutic Equivalents.

  • Decide Quickly: Because discontinued items are essentially 'first-come, first-served,' we strongly recommend proceeding to the payment stage immediately once you are satisfied with the quotation.
