Search & Features FAQ ID: #078
Q:

I get an error when trying to attach a file to a message. Why can't I send it?

A:

If your file attachment fails to send, it is likely due to the file format, size, or an issue with the file extension. Please check the following items to resolve the issue.

Troubleshooting and Resolution Steps

  1. Verify File Format and Size

Ensure your file meets our system specifications:

    • Supported Formats: PDF, Word, Excel, PNG, JPG

    • Maximum Size: Up to 5MB per file

  2. Rename File Extensions (For .jpeg Files):

In some environments, files with the '.jpeg' extension may not be correctly recognized.

    • Solution: Change the end of the filename (the extension) from '.jpeg' to '.jpg' and try uploading the file again.

  3. Additional Checkpoints

    • Filename Characters: Files containing special symbols or non-standard characters may cause errors. Rename the file using only simple alphanumeric characters.

    • Connection Stability: Large files (close to 5MB) may time out if your network connection is unstable.

Still Having Trouble?

If you still cannot send the file after trying the steps above, there may be a temporary system glitch or a compatibility issue with your specific environment. Please contact us via the Inquiry Form with the following details:

  • The exact error message displayed

  • The format and size of the file you attempted to send

  • The browser you are using (e.g., Chrome, Safari)
